The Pacific Institute of Leadership and Governance (PILAG) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Michael Barobe announced the appointment of 16 senior officers within PILAG at the Waigani Main Campus in Port Moresby.

CEO Barobe said it is a significant moment as PILAG is going into transition and transformation process that is consistent with its revised PILAG Act.

The 16 senior officers were appointed on a three (3) year contract. Of the 16, three were appointed at Executive Director Position.

Mr. Barobe made the announcement in a small but significant gathering following the signing of contracts of the appointed senior officers at the PILAG’s Bully Beef Conference room at the Waigani Main Campus in Port Moresby last Thursday, 21 May 2020.

The CEO thanked the Selection and Promotion Committee for impartial deliberation and recommendation for the promotions following the normal selection process based on the new approved structure. He added that it was consultative process that was guided by what is best for the organization.

“Promotion is a right and must be available to all members of PILAG. It is only sensible and practical for the organisation because it will be the incentive that will drive our members to do better and go that extra mile in the delivering of quality training that is tailored and targeted to the public servants to enable them to perform their duties effectively and efficiently,” CEO Barobe said.
