Welcome to PILAG’s Modern technology-driven library. The state of the Art facility was funded by the Australian Government and was built in 2017 and officially open in June 2019.
Modern Library innovations have changed our work for the better and today we are embracing cutting-edge library technology. With a click of a button, our users can search and access information on a wide range of subjects without wasting time.
The digital library is hosted by Cloud from Australia. Our resource records are online and can be accessed anywhere in the world. Through the Library Home Page, users can access the internal resources where it refers to print books and journals held in the library and external resources are links provided to online resources including e-books, e-journals, and documentary videos.
The revitalized PILAG remains committed to the development of public service leaders by providing vocational training to meet the nation’s needs and is looking to an increasingly digital approach to information management.
Our other value-added services include; internet, photocopying, printing, scanning, and binding which are available with fees. Textbooks, policy documents, and basic stationery are sold at the Bookshop.
Attractive meeting and conference rooms are also available for hire. Interested groups and individuals who wish to conduct their business in a quiet environment can contact us for reservations.
The library’s mission is to provide a collection of resources and services that support and enrich learning, teaching and research at the Institution. This is done through consultation and collaboration with management and stakeholders to select and acquire the most recent print books and online resources.
The library plans to expand its reach through public engagement. With community awareness, meetings, and other educational and professional development programs, the library will promote, literacy reading and research.

Accesses to some of these services are free while fees apply to other services.
Membership is free to all Public Servants throughout the country. However, conditions apply for other users. Interested users can visit the library and simply fill out a membership form or email: email@example.com to request for an application form which will be forwarded to you.
It is important that all users joining the library must have an email for contact.

Professional and non – professional staff plays various roles in the management of the library. They work as a team to assist and provide an effective library and information services to its clients.
Library User Fees
- PILAG Staff and Students – are registered automatically annually
- External Members – K50.00 annual membership fee. The users have the privilege to access information in the library
- Daily User Fee -K1.00 per user. Users Have Access to information in the Library
NOTE: Only PILAG Staff, students, and External Registered Members are allowed to borrow books as per our Library Rules and Regulations

Library services are governed by rules, policies and procedures and users are asked to follow these rules when in the library or accessing it remotely.
